hankey blankeys make me happy

I received my order of Hankey Blankeys from Made by Mosey last week. I also found out that Madeleine will no longer be doing these beautiful blankeys for wholesalers, for at least a while. They are just way too time consuming, she sources the hankeys, washes them, irons them, sews them.. you get the idea!

Anyway, I was going to sell the last two girly ones at Harley and Soo, but they were just too pretty to give up. They have found a place in my new baby girl's nursery, in her cradle, as a playmat, for the pram. These little floral vintage patchwork blankeys, are so pretty but also practical, and I can't wait to show them off when my new baby is born next month! Oh, and if you, like me, just can't get enough of them, I still have two boys style blankeys for sale over at the store. Be quick people!

make a wish

I bought my Sass & Bide Wish Upon a Star necklace online last night, and am eagerly awaiting its arrival! I opted for the fluro orange star. These limited edition necklaces are designed to support make-a-wish australia, with all profits donated to the charity.

Get yours here.

Since I'm in house mode at the moment (its no fun shopping for clothes when you're 7 months pregnant!), I'm thinking a rug just like this one from online store Down To The Woods would look fab in the kid's room down south..

It would add a nice touch of brightness to the room and soften the timber floors. This room needs to be unisex too as only Harley sleeps in it now, but eventually our little girl will too.

You likey?

nursery style: sneak peak

Browsing on Pinterest for more nursery inspiration, I came across these two. The bunny lamp on the top of the shelf, is the same one I bought from Bonton on my recent trip to Paris. An amazing, quirky children's store.

I recently bought a very similar white box shelf from Ikea for Harley's new room. It was in the kitchen section! That's what I love about Ikea, you can find random cheap things and use them in all sorts of ways. I only bought the one, to mount on the wall and display some books and maybe a toy on top, but I do like the idea of grouping a few together like this.
Now to get my act together and actually get these rooms done!

only 8 weeks?

Not sure where I've been these last few weeks, clearly I went MIA somewhere along the way.. I'm baaaa-ackkk! I just realised that I only have 8 weeks to go! Thats, well, only two months according to my calculations. I had better get a wriggle on and start nesting I suppose.

I'm feeling pretty good. That all too familiar feeling is starting to creep up though.. achy swollen feet, sore lower back (made worse by a toddler who ALWAYS wants to be picked up), getting tired after doing the usual daily activities, feeling like I could always have more sleep, no matter how early I go to bed.

Also tackling the decision whether to start toilet training Harley now, to hopefully have him sorted before the baby arrives, or to just leave it and wait until I am sure he is ready. I have this feeling I have left it a little late, and the weeks are kind of running out.

Babies room is still not set up, but we have everything ready to go. On the weekend, we picked up a beautiful vintage iron cot - its in perfect condition, but is a bit too cream in colour for my liking, so hoping to spray it white sometime soon. Am thinking beautiful floral bedding from Love Mae would be a nice fit. I haven't gone for much pink at all so far, so it would add a nice girly injection to the room.

What do you think?

happy easter!

Have a lovely Easter break, whatever your plans are! I plan on lots of rest and relaxation, following a crazy busy month or so. Oh, and eating copious amounts of chocolate, even if it gives me the worst reflux!

nursery style: new cot

After alot of thought, we have decided that Harley is not ready to move into a bed, even not in a few months, so we are going to have to buy a second cot. Not wanting to spend too much on the second one, I was leaning towards a plain white one from Ikea, but then I came across this one, on sale at Incy Interiors! I love an iron cot!

Finally I got around to clearing out the spare room yesterday, and I will be posting progress as I create a new room for Harley and update the nursery for the new little one.
