hankey blankeys make me happy

I received my order of Hankey Blankeys from Made by Mosey last week. I also found out that Madeleine will no longer be doing these beautiful blankeys for wholesalers, for at least a while. They are just way too time consuming, she sources the hankeys, washes them, irons them, sews them.. you get the idea!

Anyway, I was going to sell the last two girly ones at Harley and Soo, but they were just too pretty to give up. They have found a place in my new baby girl's nursery, in her cradle, as a playmat, for the pram. These little floral vintage patchwork blankeys, are so pretty but also practical, and I can't wait to show them off when my new baby is born next month! Oh, and if you, like me, just can't get enough of them, I still have two boys style blankeys for sale over at the store. Be quick people!

Shopping in Paris: Bonpoint

When I was staying in Paris last week, my friend Kassy had a list of places and stores that we must visit, and Bonpoint was one of them.

Located at 6 Rue De Tournon in Paris, on the premises of the 17th century Hotel de Brancas, the flagship Bonpoint concept store includes eight imaginatively decorated rooms, as well as a gorgeous cafe which has a courtyard that opens on sunny days.

Even if you don't have children, this store is well worth a look, just for the interior itself. Stunning white washed floorboards, whimsical chandeliers and mind blowing displays that really do leave you breathless! If you do have children, or are expecting, the store sells beautiful clothing for newborn up to around 12 year old, accessories, shoes, blankets, teddies, and also beautiful perfumes.

We took a break from baby shopping and shared a chocolate brownie and a generous slice of cheesecake in the store's cafe.

Of course I walked out the door with some very special purchases for my baby girl, due in June. The kind of pieces you hand down through generations! If you find yourself in Paris, be sure to visit Bonpoint, and allow yourself enough time to take it all in, it really is a truly amazing and special store to visit. I hear that there are also stores in other parts of Europe, and in Asia and the US.

loving: Stella McCartney Kids

Just came across this Stella McCartney Kids jumpsuit via the Coos & Ahhs blog, and I am lovin' it! A bit folky, hippy, carnival style, the mix of floral and stripes is divine!

getting back into it

Its been a funny old week. I'm finding it hard to get back into the swing of things.. parden the pun! My little guy has never taken much of a liking to swings, but this week, he decided, they're actually alright. I love this photo of him!
The highlight of the week has definately been the birth of beautiful baby Summer - the daughter of our gorgeous friends Leisha and Damo. We met her yesterday, and what a little gem she is! I wrapped up a bundle of goodies from Harley and Soo, and off we trotted to the hospital to inhale that addictive newborn smell!

I'm making chicken and mushroom risotto tonight. Stay tuned for the recipe, its a bit of a family fave.

zuzii shoes: ooii

These amazing summer sandals are now available through my facebook page. Zuzii shoes, are handmade in the US, and come in the most beautiful array of summery colours! As soon as I discovered them, I thought, these are perfect for aussie baby girls - what better way to finish off a cute summer outfit? A pop of colour with a beachy white summer dress? Or a mini flower girl in a tulle tutu even! Shoes, but not shoes, they are super soft and comfy too. AND I've never seen anything like them. Or even close.

They also come in the most adorable packaging.

These 'shoes'are designed for baby girls under one year old, and come in two sizes, small (0-6 months) and large (6-12 months).

Pop on over and have a closer look at my facebook page. You can purchase by commenting or messaging me on there, or send me an email - I'd love to hear from you!
