point + shoot: better late than never

Its been a crazy week, hence why I am only doing this now, on Thursday night! We spent our long weekend down south at the beach house. These photos were taken when we went over to my parent's place for a bbq on the Sunday evening, Harley got to hang out with his great grandparents there too. After dinner we wandered down to the beach for a play, dogs included!

down south fun

We are off to Sydney for a little holiday early tomorrow, to meet up with some friends who are traveling around Australia. Needless to say, I have been flat out today washing, packing, and getting ready for an early start tomorrow morning.

I still had all these fun photos from the weekend down south I wanted to share, so quickly, here they are!

And a few from our fun arvo enjoying the sunshine (and mucking around) at Eagle Bay Brewery, great spot!

Hope everyone is having a fab week so far!

yes, lets!

Tomorrow we are heading down to spend the weekend with some good friends at our beach house in Eagle Bay. Eagle Bay is a small town nestled inbetween Dunsborough and Bunker Bay, about 3 hours south of Perth, Western Australia. We try and go down there every few weeks for the weekend, and spend more time down there over the summer. At the moment, we are doing some maintenance and renovations, including changing the colour of the external walls from blue to grey! I plan on posting lots of before and after shots on this blog. This house has been an ongoing project and we have gradually been renovating and updating over the years. There is something so special about this place, there are so many memories, and every time we arrive and walk in the door, I feel instantly happy and relaxed!

tomorrow

Today was my last day at my job, the job I had for 6 years and then returned to do two days a week after 12 months maternity leave. I feel relieved. I enjoyed being at work, but rushing to get myself and the little man ready, off to daycare, then to work on time, was too much drama for me. And the thought of work playing in the back of my mind at 2am when I hear him cry for his mummy because hes caught yet another bug from daycare. Not. Worth. It.

Anyway. Onto the next chapter. Harley and Soo. Now I am a work from home mummy!

Tomorrow is going to be a busy day. And I hope the rain stays away. I'm ready for summer now! We have toddler gym in the morning for a good play, then home for a meeting with the website guy. House needs a good tidy, and there is plenty of washing, and packing to do for our weekend at the beach house. And Sydney next week. When the boy wakes from his afternoon slumber, we need to pop up to the office to do a quick handover. Then home, dinner, the usual. More packing, organising before our weekend down south! Like most Perth-lings, I am so over the wintery weather, and hanging out for some warmer, sunny days.

Bring it on, the next chapter!
